Manila – Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director Tonette Arriola awarded a Certificate of Recognition to the Institute for Labor Studies for achieving Maturity Level 2 of the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) during the Institute’s Year-End Planning Assessment last December 19 at The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila.

ILS employee promoted to Senior LEO post

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) employee Malorie Joy Mones took her oath of office last December 6 before Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba as Senior Labor and Employment Officer and Labor for the Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD).

ILS avails of Occupational Safety and Health Orientation for its employees

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) recently availed of the Occupational Safety and Health Orientation (OSH) for its employees at the ILS office in Intramuro, Manila last December 5.

The orientation was intended to capacitate all employees, and to refresh designated safety officers on occupational safety and health in the workplace, specially with the recent transfer of the ILS employees to its new address at BF Condominium building in Solana Street, Intramuros, Manila.

ILS gears up for 2020 with a Year-End Planning Activity

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies recently conducted its Year-End Planning Assessment last December 19 at The Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, Manila. This was presided by ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, together with all the Division Chiefs of the Institute, namely Camilo Franco S. Cabusas of the Finance and Administration Department (FAD), Miraluna S. Tacadao of the Labor and Social Relations Research Division (LSRRD), Paulina Kim C. Pacete of the (Employee Research Division), Maria Isabel D. Artajo of the Workers Welfare Research Division (WWRD), and Reinerio A. Alba of the Advocacy and Publications Division (APD).

Manila –ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba joined DOLE Labor Attachés together with Senior Officials from the Department for the 2019 Philippine Overseas Labor Officials (POLO) Command Conference last December 9-13 at the Lima Park Hotel in Lipa-Malvar, Batangas.

ILSEA newly-signed CNA highlights safe spaces and mental health for its members

Manila –The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) management, represented by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba, and ILS Employees Association (ILSEA), represented by Union President Maria Isabel Artajo, signed a new Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) for the period 2017-2020 at the ILS office in Intramuros, Manila in October 31.

ILS Acting Deputy Executive Director officially in roster of CES eligibles

Manila – Institute for Labor Studies Acting Deputy Executive Director Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. has been officially included in the roster of Career Executive Service (CES) eligibles during the official pinning ceremony held at Taal Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City last November 20.

National Wages Productivity Commission (NWPC) Executive Director Criselda Sy, CESO II, officially put the CES eligible pin on Acting Dep. Exec. Dir. Patriwirawan, Jr. during the said event, which gathered all the CES eligibles and officials in the country.

ILS 8th Research Conference delves into the “Future of Decent Work”

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) successfully organized the 2019 DOLE Research Conference with the theme “Shaping the Discourse on the Future of Decent Work,” last November 26 at the AG New World Hotel in Manila

ILS Acting Deputy Director Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. welcomed the participants while Assistant Secretary Dominique R. Tutay delivered the Message on behalf of Undersecretary Ana C. Dione.
