The Institute for Labor Studies fulfilled one of the key agreements in the Article V, Section 7 of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) and Institute for Labor Studies – Employees Association (ILSEA) Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) 2019-2022, granting all its employees, including outsourced personnel, an annual premier silver membership under the Philippine Red Cross Membership Program in the amount of three hundred Pesos (₱300.00).

The Institute for Labor Studies’ Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) conducted its very first wholly online interview of applicants for Senior Labor Employment Officer position held via Zoom platform last April 2.

With the Enhanced Community Quarantine still in place, the Institute’s HRMPSB, chaired by Acting DED Patrick P. Patriwirawan, Jr., opted to proceed with the online interview of seven applicants vying for the position.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS), through its Advocacy and Publications Office, hosted an orientation for its employees on the Data Privacy Act of 2012 via Zoom platform conducted last April 28.

The resource speaker for the said subject was Mr. Cleo Martinez, Information Officer II of the National Privacy Commission (NPC). He acknowledged that it was the very first online orientation he conducted on the subject matter and that they are now welcoming such a platform where they can still reach their public despite the COVID19 situation in the country.

Manila – Newly-promoted Institute for Labor Studies Senior LEO Ivan Cassidy F. Villena took his Oath of Office online last April 27, in the light of the COVID-19 situation in the country. Mr. Villena’s oath via Zoom platform was administered by ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba and was witnessed online by his colleagues from the Institute.

Manila – Employees of the Institute for Labor Studies assisted the Department of Labor and Employment Central Office by remotely manning the DOLE Call Center operations to respond to queries regarding its ongoing assistance programs in response to the COVID-19.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) continued its adoption of a Work From Home (WFH) scheme this April while ensuring the fulfillment of its mandate and services in undertaking policy research for the Department of Labor and Employment.

Following the declaration of the President putting the entire Luzon Island under Enhanced Community Quarantine, the Institute started to observe a work-from-home arrangement on March 16 through Administrative Order No. 36 signed by Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba.
