Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) successfully conducted the sixth series in its Revive & Thrive COVID-19 webinars in time for the celebration of the World Mental Health Day as streamed live via the official ILS Facebook page and published real time via StreamYard last October 6.
Titled “Between Resilience & Transformation:: Understanding Workers-powered Mental Health Care in the Philippines,” the webinar was formally opened by Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Undersecretary Benjo Santos M. Benavidez who stressed the importance of mental health as a decent work and development imperative.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) Acting Deputy Executive Director Patrick Patriwirawan, Jr. was the featured researcher of Saliksik for September 25, 2021 as livestreamed in their official Facebook account: SaliksikPhilippines.
Saliksik is an online crowdfunding platform that offers to jump-start research in any field and is exclusive to Filipino research projects and provides seed and supplemental funding for early-stage and seasoned researchers. Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies successfully helmed its first online advocacy webinar for Senior Citizens, titled as “Zoomba at Iba Pa for Senior Citizens: Making the Digital World Age-Inclusive,” last September 8 via Zoom from 9:30 AM to 12 NN.
“Zoomba at Iba Pa…” is the ILS’ third offering in a series of 10 online advocacy webinars under the banner “Revive & Thrive: The ILS COVID-19 Webinar Series,” which strives to take the public discourse on post-pandemic recovery to new frontiers.
ILS receives unqualified opinion anew from COA for 2019
Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) received an unqualified opinion on the fairness of the presentation of its 2019 financial statements from the Commission on Audit (COA).
Based on records from the Institute’s Finance and Administrative Division (FAD) headed by Mr. Camilo Franco S. Cabusas, specifically from copies of the previous Annual Audit Reports (AAR), this is already the 11th year in a row that the Institute has received an unqualified opinion from the auditing body.

ILS has 2 new Labor and Employment Officers III
Manila – Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) employees Soledad R. de Luna and Arianne Ishreen C. Bucar were recently promoted to Labor and Employment Officers (LEO) III, and took their oath of office before ILS Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba via Zoom last September 3.
Their oath-taking was the third one conducted online by the Institute transpiring after the ILS has been conferred the Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME HRM) Level II / Bronze Award by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
