Ladies and gentlemen, good day.

Allow me first to congratulate the Deputy Director General, Ms. Celeste Drake, on her new post at the International Labour Organization. On behalf of our principals, Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique A. Manalo and Labor and Employment Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, it is my pleasure and honor to join the Officials of the Philippine Permanent Mission to the United Nations and other international organizations in Geneva, led by Ambassador Carlos D. Sorreta, in depositing the instrument of ratification of ILO Convention No. 190.

Antipolo, Rizal – The Institute for Labor Studies conducted its 2024 Corporate Planning Activity at First Pacific Leadership Academy, in Antipolo, Rizal. Executive Director III Jeanette T. Damo together with Deputy Executive Director III Atty. Mary Grace L. Riguer-Teodosio, spearheaded the two-day event, together with the heads and representatives of each division.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in a coordination meeting with the ASEAN Secretariat on February 15, 2023, at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) conducted its second leg of orientation on the Home Development Mutual Fund, commonly known as PAG-IBIG, and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) benefits attended by ILS employees on February 7, at the ILS Office, Intramuros, Manila.

Quezon City – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) attended the 2024 Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Wide Annual Planning Exercise held from February 1 to 2, 2024 at the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), Quezon City.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies Employees Association(ILS-EA) newly-elected Executive Board for the fiscal year 2024 took their oath of office before OIC-Executive Director Jeanette T. Damo, witnessed by fellow union members on January 05, 2024.

Tagaytay City – ILS attends the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Labor Relations, Policy, and International Affairs (LRPIA) Cluster 2024 Annual Cluster Planning Exercise on January 17 to 18, at Summit Ridge Hotel, Tagaytay City.

Manila – Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma administers the oath of office to Jeanette T. Damo, CESO III as Executive Director III of the Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) at the DOLE Main Building Office of Secretary, Intramuros, Manila on 23 January 2024.

Antipolo City, Rizal – The Institute for Labor Studies’ researchers presented the findings of their papers on Gig Economy and Ecozones to CALABARZON Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers during the 2023 Performance Assessment and Planning Exercises of the Region IV-A Alliance of Public Employment Service Officers (RAPESO), Inc. held on 25 January, at the Ynares Events Center, Antipolo City, Rizal.

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) welcomes the new year with a training on personal finance management conducted by the Home Development Mutual Fund programs and services, commonly known as PAG-IBIG Fund, on January 12, at the ILS office, Intramuros, Manila.
