ILS capacitates employees on Customer Satisfaction Management

Manila, Philippines – Employees of the Institute for Labor Studies underwent a workshop on Client/Customer Satisfaction Management (CSM) as facilitated by CSM Specialist Kevin Mandrilla last June 3 to 7 at the Bureau of Labor Relations conference room last 21 June 2019.

The workshop, organized by the ILS CSM Committee, was conducted in alignment with the Institute’s Quality Management System (QSM) target of ensuring the delivery of high quality and relevant knowledge products and services.

ILS cited among compliant government agencies during FOI meet

Manila, Philippines – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) was among the compliant government agencies cited by FOI-PMO in terms of FOI inventory/requests reports submissions. This was announced during the “2019 Freedom of Information (FOI) Receiving Officers’ Hangout” held at Sequoia Hotel in Quezon City on 19 June 2019.

Participants were updated on the major accomplishments, challenges, and innovative solutions to further improve current FOI program implementation.

ILS senior staff train on coaching and mentoring

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies’ (ILS) Human Resource unit organized a technical learning session on mentoring and coaching for its senior staff held last 02 May 2019 at the ILS Conference Room in Intramuros, Manila.

The training was conducted by Civil Service Commission (CSC) Director May Antonette D. Arriola who shared key concepts on coaching and mentoring.

Manila – Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba was invited to the Consultation with Government Agencies for the Development of the Five-Year Strategic Plan of the Philippine Council for Mental Health (PCMH) in relation to the implementation of Republic Act 11036 or the Philippine Mental Health Law last May 17 at the Best Western Hotel La Corona in Ermita, Manila.

DOLE in 3rd Workshop ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Work Meet

Manila – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) participated in the “Third Workshop of the Development of Monitoring and Evaluation Mechanism for the ASEAN Labour Ministers’ Work Programme” (ALMWP) held last May 9-10 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

ILS Senior LEO passes 2018 bar examination

Manila – Institute for Labor Studies’ Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ms. Tecelyn B. Maramag, JD was among the 1,800 successful examinees of the 2018 Bar Examinations result released last May 3, 2019.

Ms. Maramag joined the Institute in 2015 as part of the Advocacy and Publications Division (APD). Her 2017 research titled, “Legislative Analysis of the NLRC Appeal Bill” was presented during the 6th DOLE Research Conference in 2017.

ILS Labor Officer is now TESDA NC-III certified

Manila – Institute for Labor Studies’ (ILS) Labor and Employment Officer III Marc Raphael A. Peñaredondo successfully passed his Visual Graphic Designer assessment and was awarded a National Certificate Level III by the Technical and Educational Skills Development Authority (TESDA) last May 10, 2019.

ILS participates in DICT meeting on the National Government Portal

Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the meeting called by the Department of Information and Communications (DICT) with the labor and employment sector on the National Government Portal (NGP) Project held at the Labor Governance Learning Center of the Department of Labor and Employment last 11 April 2019.
