The Institute for Labor Studies’ ongoing 2019 researches on the construction industry were mentioned by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) OIC for Project Development Division Charlyn B. Justimbaste in her presentation titled “Preparing TVET for the 4th Industrial Revolution Challenge” at the 9th National Education Forum held in Hotel Jen in Pasay City last August 29.

ILS conducts mid-year assessment planning

The Institute for Labor Studies conducted its 2019 Mid-Year Performance Assessment and Technical Learning Session on the Civil Service Commission Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) and Strategic Performance Management System last 08-09 August 2019 at Taal, Vista Hotel in Tagaytay City, Cavite.

ILS Exec. Director Lobrin-Satumba named Outstanding NDCP alumna

Institute for Labor Studies Executive Director Ahmma Charisma Lobrin-Satumba was one of the recipients of the Outstanding Alumnus Award of the National Defense College of the Philippines (NDCP) during the 56th NDCP Foundation Anniversary and Alumni Homecoming held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Clubhouse Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City last August 16.

ILS streamlines its Citizen’s Charter

The Institute for Labor Studies has updated its Citizen’s Charter last August 05 in accordance with the provisions of Administrative Order 25 of the Department of Budget Management (DBM), which established the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Harmonization of National Government Performance Monitoring, Information, and Reporting Systems of (DBM).

ILS participates in validation workshop on changing nature of employment relationships

ILS Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Miraluna S. Tacadao from the Labor and Social Relations Research Division attended the “First Validation Workshop of the Regional Study on Changing Nature of Employment Relationships as the Impact of the Use of ICT and Adequacy of Legislations in Regulating Employment Relationships”last July 20-30 in Hanoi, Vietnam.

ILS research on “federal Philippines” presented in Mexico City

Manila, Philippines – The Institute for Labor Studies’ Senior Labor and Employment Officer Mr. John Emmanuel Villanueva, from the Employment Research Division, presented his research paper “Labor and Employment Governance in a Federal Philippines: A Policy Delphi-Survey Study” at the 14th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social Sciences in Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana in Mexico City, Mexico last July 12.

ILS researcher bags migration scholarship in Italy

Manila, Philippines – The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) Senior Labor and Employment Officer Ronell J. Delerio was accepted to the 15th Migration Summer School from 24 June to 5 July 2019 at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.

The Summer School targets a mix of postgraduate students, civil servants, officials at international organizations, representatives from NGOs and other civil society organizations, journalists, policy analysts, and teachers from around the world.
