Manila – The Institute for Labor Studies is hailed anew by the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines, Inc. (AGAP) as one of the “Outstanding Accounting Offices” in the country for the fiscal year 2023.
In the official communication received by the Institute in August 2024, AGAP has commended the ILS for the “quality, timeliness, and accuracy of FY 2023 financial reports” submitted.

The Institute for Labor Studies (ILS) participated in the Just Transition Conversations organized by Oxfam Pilipinas on September 13, 2024, in Quezon City.
The event brought together climate justice advocates, government agencies, and civil society organizations to address the critical need for a just energy transition in the Philippines. Mr. Bernard Paul Mangulabnan and Ms. Athena Mari E. Son of the Employment Research Division represented the Institute.

ILS advocates for green jobs advancement in APEC green economy forum, development of country positions for UNFCCC COP 29
The Institute for Labor Studies participated as a country representative in the Asian Pacific Economic (APEC) Workshop on Green Vocational Skills from September 19 to 20, in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, China.
Bernard Paul M. Mangulabnan, Acting Chief of the ILS Employment Research Division, and Myka Rose Trono from the Department of Labor and Employment – Bureau of Local Employment, co-presented the overview of the mandate of DOLE under Republic Act No. 10771 or the Philippine Green Jobs Act, the National Green Jobs Human Resource Development Plan, and the assessment and certification system and standards for green jobs.
